From Left to Right: Yuri Ruley (Yuri) , Thomas Wisniewski (Tom), Michael Herrera (Mike)
Well, MxPx started out as nothing....just like everyone else. They started proving they were good at a very young age with the release of "Pokinatcha" and "17" 7". they helped Tooth& Nail move into their office. Five years ago, three Punk rockers - Michael Arthur Herrera, Andy Huesed, and Yuri Zane Ruley, called themselves Magnified Plaid and started playing music inspired by the Descendants. They didn't really love their band name, However,  which started with andy's plaid shirts. The name was abbreviated when Yuri made posters and his periods looked like X's. So....Then.... M.P.=MxPx Bremerton had been a town most famous for tts Naval Shipyards until MxPx caught the attention of Tooth & Nail Records when they played a "showcase" for the label in 1993 in Herrera's Parents' garage. Well, Thomas Edmond Wisniewski was asked to join the band when Andy didn't care to tour. Maybe cause Tom had experience with the drums, it made up for his inexperience at playing guitar he only played guitar for one year at that time. He and Yuri do fast rhythms that rank with vintage minor threat for speed and percussive attack. Mike then adds his voice and bass and it sounds great. Well, after they graduated from High School they decided to release another album, that one was labeled "Teenage Politics", They also released the "PunkRawkShow" 7" with that. They then did a cover album "On The Cover." Well...then they kept moving on and released Life In General In 1996. Released a couple of 7"'s such as "Small Town Minds", "MxPx/Mccrakins"..They then toured a whole bunch with "Puller" and "Stavesacre" to promote that album. Then they released "Slowly Going The Way Of The Buffalo" In 1998 with a lot of little goodies for The Fanclub Members, Including Christmas Day later that year. Well then...that brings us to 1999 where they released "At The Show" The first live album, it is currently out. Within all of that they have tad two side bands, "The Cootees" and "Arthur". And a record company "Rock City Recording."
